All students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of texture, composition and value, through the creation of a faceless portrait.
How can you add a wider range of values to your artwork?
​ How can you show a variety of textures? 
Your faceless portrait must have a background!

Cross-contour lines
- They are lines that reflect the movement of your eye in and around what you see. While contour lines describe edges, cross-contours describe form and volume. When you shade an object to look three-dimensional, you should shade in the same direction as the contours.
